The Peel Godred Engines are the electric locomotives who run the Peel Godred Branch Line. They use the 25 kV AC overhead line system and are numbered E1-E9.
E1-E4[]
Engines E1, E2, E3 and E4 are the branch line's original locomotives, arriving on it's opening in 1923. Since the introduction of more modern locomotives in the mid 1970's they are used less commonly.
E5-E7[]
Engines E5, E6 and E7 are the locomotives who handle the branch line's freight traffic. They we're introduced in 1975 to relieve the ageing original locomotives of some of their duties.
E8-E9[]
Engines E8 and E9 are the Electric Multiple Units (EMU) who handle the branch line's passenger services.
