Knapford Station, originally called Knapford Junction, is the main and biggest railway station on the Island of Sodor. The North Western Railway HQ has been located here since 1925. The modern station dates from 1956.
The original station was built in 1885 as the terminus of the Knapford & Elsbridge Light Railway.
The station has six tracks total, four being through tracks and two being terminal tracks, with five platforms. Knapford has a M.C. BUNN refreshment kiosk, Sir Topham Hatt's Office, a Stationmaster's Office, a common room for engine staff and a bookstall. Passengers traverse to the different platforms by using underground walkways.
It has a single entrance on its eastern side, connecting to the car park.
