Major-General Richard Robert Norramby, 21st Earl of Sodor, KG, GCB, GCVO, GCStJ, GBE, MC, TD, PC, JP, GS (born 25 January 1940), usually known as Sir Robert Norramby, is a Sudrian peer, soldier and entrepreneur. He owns Ulfstead Castle, its surrounding estate and railway, and has notably developed it into a major tourist attraction. He is a good friend of Sir Stephen Topham Hatt.

Sir Robert Norramby is a railway buff and a gentleman explorer, who owns the largest estate on the Island of Sodor. With his white beard and longish hair he may seem a little eccentric, but he is an old friend of Sir Topham Hatt who came home to the island after many years travelling the world. Sir Robert is a kind and caring man, but he can be stern to his engines if they misbehave.

Sir Robert usually wears a dark grey shooting jacket over a red patterned waistcoat, a white dress shirt and a blue day cravat, with grey trousers and black shooting boots.
